I want a general idea of what vegetables these fuzzy little guys can eat. Is it similar to rabbits? We have two rabbits and are looking to adopt 2 guinea pigs to add to our family. Since we have the extra room, we thought they could keep the bunnies company too.
They can eat a lot of different kinds but it is best to stick to what is widely viewed as safe.
The safest veg for them is:
Celery
Broccoli
Lettuce
Zucchini
Cabbage
Corn
Spinach
Brussels Sprouts
Kale
Carrots
Swiss chard
I would avoid feeding them:
Cucumbers
Radishes
Eggplant
Onions
Asparagus
Iceberg Lettuce
Potatoes
Why is iceberg lettuce bad? My friend always feeds his pigs this with their meals and they seem to really enjoy it. They don't have any health issues or anything either.

@sigmund It lacks nutrition. It isn't that it is bad for them, it is that they will fill up on it and it won't give them much vitamins or minerals that they need.
You can feet them cucumbers but you need to remove the seeds and only feed it to them occasionally, not daily. I never heard of this veg being on a never list but I guess because of the seeds and the possible pesticides on the skin, it can be an issue.
I think most of what people tend to have in their homes for themselves are safe. You might want to stock a few new things every other week just so they don't get bored. One of the good things about owning a guinea pig is that vegetables never go to waste!
Can you feed them frozen corn that has been thawed out? It is hard to find quality corn here year round and for some reason my local grocery store has not be stocking in for months. I have to buy it elsewhere and it is too expensive.

@amelia You can but you have to just be careful they don't choke on it. It should be fine since it will be softer but still, I would only feed them this when you are going to be close by.
What does everyone think is the most nutritious vegetable for a guinea pig?
I know greens are good for us, but what about them?
There's plenty to choose from!
My guinea pig really enjoys green peppers and peas the most. Also kale but I always forget to but it! Trying broccoli spears next.
