Balinese Cat Hypoallergenic Cats

Member

Overtime I wondered if Balinese Cat are hypoallergenic?

I really do not think so, although Some breeders and others claim that Balinese cats are hypoallergenic. This has not been scientifically proven.

In fact, scientific research has not shown that any hypoallergenic cat breeds exist.

The lack of an undercoat in Balinese cats makes it possible that allergy sufferers may react less to Balinese cats than to other long-haired breeds. Less hair means fewer allergens. Spend time with a cat to determine if it triggers your allergies!

There are no guarantees for cat allergy sufferers. Frequent baths and brushings can help

The hypoallergenic tendencies of the Balinese cats follow the same principal as the Russian Blue, their skin produces less Fel d1 which means that they are less likely to cause an allergic reaction.

Balinese cats could potentially be hypoallergenic. But for now, there is no real research to support this. Balinese cats are said to produce less of the most common allergen

There's really no such thing as non-allergenic cats. However, you can get pretty close with "hypoallergenic cats." These felines are prone to shed less, or have less dander, which both are major causes of cat allergies. Balinese cats produce much less of the Fel D1 protein that causes allergies in the first place, so their fur carries less of the allergen around.

the Balinese looks like an unlikely candidate for a hypoallergenic cat. But it is one of the few breeds that produces less of the Fel D1 protein than other cats, thus causing fewer allergic reactions in allergy sufferers.
